At its home quad Saturday, the Glen Oaks Community College volleyball team was narrowly swept by Jackson College 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 in a competitive opening match to start the day.
Karsyn Stebbins put up 10 kills for the Vikings and the freshman ended the match with an ace and seven digs. Sophomore Kaytlin Smith was next in the attack line with six kills to go with a dig.
Freshmen Gina Smith and Alicyn Arevalo each posted four kills. Gina Smith also registered three service aces, four digs and a block. Arevalo added three digs and a block. Elayna Zuidema finished with 14 assists, Kulayjah Weller had eight assists, an ace and three digs, and Keegan Russell notched five digs, an ace, two assists and a pair of kills. Isabella Coy led GOCC with 10 total digs.
