Vikings win on the road
Glen Oaks traveled to Owens Community College Saturday and secured a 78-63 victory to improve to 3-1 this season.
The Vikings won the rebounding battle, 54-39, and took advantage of 10 3-point buckets to pull away. After an 8-8 tie at the end of the first quarter, GOCC heated up and went on a 27-19 to close out the first half.
Kylie Quist led the Vikings with 23 points, including a 5-for-7 effort from 3-point land. She added three defensive rebounds and an assist.
Eliana Wilson shined on both ends of the floor as she produced 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Amanda Barber finished with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Vikings.
Kamryn Washington had nine points, four rebounds and six assists, while Lilyana Coleman chipped in six points and two rebounds. Morgan Kurdziel ended the day with four points, and Sarah DeKoning, Ajacia Griffith and Alea Fisher each registered two points.
