Viking golfers second at home invite

The Glen Oaks Community men's golf team hosted an invitational Monday at Island Hills Golf Club, wrapping up the fall season with chilly conditions en route to second place. The Vikings scored 321 to finish behind winner Montcalm (297). Ancilla was third with a 336. 

Montcalm's Zach Johnson and Mason Blair tied for medalist honors with rounds of 73. Teammate Ryan Clingenpeel fired a 75 to help the Centurians post a sub-300 team total. 

Flavio Hernandez and Gaven Lewis both shot 78 to pace Glen Oaks. Fisher Edwards was next in line with an 82, Graeme Herald carded an 83 and Connor Triemstra posted 86 to round out the Vikings five scorers. Logan Pflug shot 93 and Brayden Clark finished with 95 for the Vikings.
