Glen Oaks Community College dominated Battle Ground Prep, 110-67, to open the 2023-24 season in front of a home crowd.
The vikings shot 53.8% from the field and 37.5% 3-point range, with Lavonta Ash leading the way with 27 points on a 10-for-11 effort from the floor. Daivion Boleware scored 21 points — all in the second half — and both Tyler Swanwick and Jaylen Coon finished the night with 16. Also reaching double figures for the Vikings were Jordan Turner (11) and Darrius Roach (10).
Coon and Ash both registered nine rebounds, Roach paced the team with five assists, while Turner and Shane Handlon added two steals apiece.
The Vikings are back in action Nov. 3 on the road to take on North Central Michigan at 3 p.m. as part of the Roadrunner Classic.
