MCCA Academic awards announced
Numerous Vikings honored for work in the classroom in 2023-24.
The Michigan Community College Athletic Association released its team and individual academic award list Tuesday and Glen Oaks Community College was well represented.
The women's basketball team produced a 3.28 GPA and the Viking softball program earned a 3.04 GPA to also make the MCCAA All-Academic Team (3.0+) list.
Individually, the Vikings boasted 38 student-athletes that landed on the Academic All-MCCAA list of a 3.2 GPA or higher with 24 credit hours passed.
Another 45 Vikings were recognized as Academic All-MCCA award winners with at least a 3.0 GPA.
